How Ayurveda medicine helps your skin to be prettier

For Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medicine, nothing happens the same way for two people. Everything happens according to individual characteristics. The Ayurvedic medicine is, therefore, beyond all, a self-understand tool, in order to optimize everything according each physical and psychological type.

The archetypes proposed by Ayurveda are the Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. To know which Dosha is yours, is the first step to use the Ayurvedic medicine hollistic and plural approach. These three profiles are the five universe elements combined.

Vata: Air and Ether

Pitta: Fire and Water

Kapha: Earth and Water

The Ayurvedic biotype of someone can be, therefore, Vata, Pitta or Kapha, or even, perhaps, a combination of two of those doshas. Moreover, a person might born with a determined biotype and, as time goes by, it changes due to external factors such as, climate, diet, life habits or environmental pollution.

Such “distortions” should also be taken into consideration when choosing a skin care treatment, and this has got to be made through a dosha detailed research with a qualified professional.

Though, besides the professional orientations, it is possible to, indeed, take some care which is worth to each type of skin. Look at the advices:

  1. Bet on the vegetables

Always eat vegetables with high level of water, which are easier to digest, such as lettuce, carrot, cucumber, radish (known in Ayurveda for its purified properties), fennel and asparagus. Those vegetables are good for all sorts of skins. Combine at least three of them and eat with just olive oil and lime dressing, all natural, off course.

  1. Eat small portions

The traditional as well as the Ayurvedic medicine agree that adding seeds and nuts to your diet will improve your skin’s condition. You can add almonds, sunflower seeds and other nuts as well to your porridge, for instance, or have them as an afternoon break on their own.

  1. Always drink some tea

Keep yourself hydrated all day long and give preference to hot drinks, such as herbal teas. To make a chilly tea with fresh lime and ginger will help you to awake your spirit in the afternoon and to keep you digestion healthy, which is something extremely important for a vibrant skin.

  1. Move yourself

Modern doctors advice to make exercises to keep your muscles and joints healthy and toned while getting rid of toxins. Physical activities also improve blood circulation, digestion and let your skin healthy and tanned! Choose the type of exercise which will make you shake yourself and feel good! You can run, dance or cycle. What matters is not stand still!
